Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Places are only confirmed once payment has been received in full.
  • Payment must be made prior to attendance unless otherwise agreed.
  • Sussex Skate School reserves the right to refuse participation where payment has not been received.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Refunds are not normally provided for missed sessions.
  • In exceptional circumstances, refunds or credits may be offered at the discretion of Sussex Skate School.
  • If a session is cancelled by Sussex Skate School, a refund, credit, or alternative session will be offered.
  • Sessions cancelled due to extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control may be rescheduled where possible.

3. Participant Conduct

  • Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards coaches, other participants, equipment, and facilities.
  • Unsafe or disruptive behaviour may result in a participant being removed from the session.
  • In serious cases, Sussex Skate School reserves the right to refuse future attendance.

4. Safety Equipment

  • Helmets must be worn at all times during skateboarding activities.
  • Knee-pads, elbow-pads and wrist-pads must also be used at all times during sessions unless otherwise is agreed prior with parents.
  • All equipment will be provided, participants may use their own equipment, but Sussex Skate School reserves the right to deem any equipment unsafe for use.

5. Medical & Emergency Information

  • Parents/guardians must provide accurate medical and emergency contact information at the time of booking.
  • Any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or additional needs that may affect participation must be disclosed before sessions begin.
  • Sussex Skate School must be informed of any changes to emergency contact or medical details.

6. Assumption of Risk

  • Skateboarding is an action sport and participation involves an inherent risk of injury.
  • While Sussex Skate School takes all reasonable precautions to provide a safe environment and appropriate supervision, participation is at the parent/guardian’s and participant’s own risk.

7. Photography & Video

  • Photographs or videos may occasionally be taken during sessions for promotional purposes with parent/ guardians permission.
  • Parents/guardians will have the opportunity to refuse permission for photos or videos of children to be used when booking.

8. Collection of Children

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children are collected promptly at the end of sessions unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.
  • Sussex Skate School must be informed if a child is permitted to leave independently.

9. Weather & Venue Changes

  • Outdoor sessions may need to be modified, relocated, or cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions.
  • Alternative indoor activities will be provided wherever possible in the case of bad weather.
  • Parents will be informed as early as possible of any changes.

10. Personal Belongings

  • Participants bring personal belongings and equipment at their own risk.
  • Sussex Skate School accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

11. Data Protection

  • Personal information collected during booking will only be used for the administration and safe delivery of sessions.
  • Information will not be shared with third parties except where required for safeguarding or legal purposes.

12. Agreement

By booking a session, parents/guardians confirm that:

  • they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions;
  • the participant is medically fit to take part;
  • they consent to participation in skateboarding activities under the supervision of Sussex Skate School coaches.
